The Diapason Micra III Excel is a beautiful solid-walnut compact loudspeaker, hand-made in Italy using the finest materials.
The small dimensions of the Micra III Excel cabinet are transformed when the music spreads through the room. The sound is comprehensive, dynamic and delightfully musical, with a low frequency range which is surprising for a woofer of just 11 cm. The ability of Micra III Excel to reproduce the soundstage and a highly pleasurable listening experience make it seem much larger than its size, while maintaining the benefits of a small speaker.
The solid Canaletto walnut cabinet accentuates the beauty of the wood grain, and the curved shape of the side panels make this a decorative item that fits into any setting.

This mini-speaker on a stand with rear reflex port is versatile in terms of room positioning and matching to electronics. Micra III Excel is for music lovers seeking emotion and involvement, by letting the sound reproduction system find the perfect balance between tone, three-dimensionality, clarity, realism and harmonic completeness. The curved, handcrafted cabinet is made of solid Canaletto walnut, and the drivers are selected from the best manufacturers and constructed in line with Diapason specifications, and connected with tolerance levels lower than 1% to optimise speaker acoustic performance.
A THOROUGHLY HIGH FIDELITY CORE
Micra III Excel uses Diapason Direct Drive technology for its 11-cm woofer, developed in conjunction with the Norwegian company SEAS for Diapason in accordance with specific technical specifications. Diapason Direct Drive technology enables the direct connection of rear connectors to the woofer without using a low-pass circuit. The result is a listening experience that perceives low frequencies reproduced quickly and realistically. High-pass circuit wired directly using oxygen-free copper Van den Hul CS cables.
MEETING THE HIGHEST EXPECTATIONS
The dedicated 1/M floor stand ensures optimal speaker performance and creates an appealing aesthetic effect. Measuring 75 cm in height, the thick black painted metal structure with central round shaft can be filled with lead or other damping material to improve speaker performance. Four spikes under the base lift the speaker system off the floor.
