Description
Solidsteel SS-7 Vintage Speaker Stands
The Solidsteel SS-7 speaker stands really do make a difference, they add clarity, focus and detail to the music and hold loudspeakers rock-steady due to their tripod configuration. Solidsteel stands are hand-made in Italy, they are not a mass-produced product. The SS7 is designed for the smallest of speakers or surround-speakers.
Having monitor-type loudspeaker positioned at the correct height is of critical importance and since this type of speaker is often relatively light in weight compared to floor-standing units, it is also essential to maintain high stability and rigidity. Additionally as with all components, proper decoupling must be considered.
The Solidsteel SS Series fulfils a longstanding need regarding the proper setup and enjoyment of monitor speakers, and must in many ways be considered as important as the units they support. The three tubular supports terminate with a crimped steel bar. Removable stainless steel spikes allow the stands to be filled with damping material. Decoupling between the chassis and the shelf is achieved through three high precision steel ball bearings.
The original design of these legendary products dates back to 1992, the year in which Solidsteel founder Moreno Conti produced the first serial production. These unique tripods are assembled through a traditional brass welding process, performed by true craftsmen.
