Although designed as a compact speaker, with an 8cm diameter driver, the TD508MK4 represents an excellent value, high-performance model with accurate sound reproduction. Place the speaker on a speaker stand with the correct adjustment and you will experience a clear sound image as if you can ‘see’ the sound, of course dependent on the recording. Additionally, the TD508MK4 can be simply mounted on the ceiling or wall without using a mounting bracket, the angle can be adjusted flexibly making it ideal for home theatre applications.
Concept
Once, listening to music was all about performance. In fact, the first home audio system made nearly a century ago, were aimed at recreating the live performance experiences . But over time this changed. Audio equipment came to focus more on the technicalities for reproducing a wide range of frequencies accurately, rather than recreating the sound and the spirit of the actual performance itself.
ECLIPSE, however, recreates pure performance to reveal the very essence of the artists’ passion and craft. We believe that music should be reproduced just as it was created, with nothing added or reduced.
Egg-Shaped Form
In the ECLIPSE series, the internal standing and diffraction waves generated at the front baffle edges are largely eliminated by adopting a rigid, yet tactile egg-shaped form, in which no two radial surfaces are in the same plane.
The TD508MK4 has an internal volume approximately 400cc larger than the previous model TD508MK3, which helps to reduce the back pressure on the high-speed speaker driver ensuring a smooth stroke for better impulse response and achieves a wider frequency response.
8cm Full Range Driver
The diaphragm is made of glass fibre, which is lightweight and offers excellent elasticity whilst still possessing high radial rigidity meaning it does not have its own unique tone. Optimised together with the centre cap, the designer has succeeded in reducing unnecessary reverberation and has improved frequency characteristics. Also reviewed were the edges and dampers, ensuring amplitude margins, and an optimization of the voice coil and magnetic circuit to increase magnetic flux density thus improving the stopping performance and overall signal purity.
Solid Foundation
The two elements of the speaker and the stand have a unique, special fixing structure that eliminates unnecessary vibration and makes it easy to adjust the angle. The dial-type angle adjustment screw, that can be turned by hand, allows you to precisely adjust the listening position while enabling tight bass reproduction. The speaker section can be adjusted from -20° to 35°, giving you greater freedom of installation to suit your listening environment.
Flexible Mount – Ceiling
The TD508MK4 can be mounted on the ceiling. By changing the speaker arm setting the angle can be adjusted from 0° to 90° relative to the ceiling. Even in places with limited space you can fully experience its performance.

The TD508MK4 can also be mounted on a wall. By changing the speaker arm setting you can adjust the angle from 0° to 90° relative to the wall, further expanding the possibilities of use.
