ELAC Navis B51 is ELAC next-generation wireless bookshelf speaker featuring three internal amplifiers in a cast aluminum base. It’s got 150 watts in the bass section, 70 watts on the midrange, and 30 watts on the tweeter. Those ratios are determined by the relative efficiency levels of each of the drivers, and they are all class A/B amplifiers with the bass section being a BASH technology with modulated power supplies which allows the class A/B amplifier to get closer to the efficiency of a class D amp while retaining the character of a class A/B amplifier.
Each of the three elements is powered by its own dedicated analogue amplifier, with both RCA and XLR balanced input. Navis’s elegant design can be integrated into any interior. The cabinets are available in high gloss black, high gloss white and coloured wood veneers. A dedicated tripod is recommended for optimum performance.
Each Navis speaker consists of three separate analogue amplifiers, one for each element: a 160 Watt BASH AB amplifier for the woofer, a 100 Watt BASH AB amplifier for intermediate tone and a 40 Watt Class AB for treble. A total amplifier power of 300 watts ensures that each element is optimally powered. Specifications like 110 dBA signal / noise ratio can only come from an audio file quality amplifier!
