Latest wireless technology
To realise the AK UW100MKIIs leading wireless performance, the next gen, high-quality aptX™ Adaptive codec is supported, expertly adjusting the bite rate according to the wireless environment it is operating to reduce latency issues (it supports up to 24-bit audio at a bit rate of 420kps). Support for the latest Bluetooth 5.2 provides greater range and a more stable wireless connection.

With an ergonomic and lightweight earbud design developed through countless simulations, the AK UW100 offers best-in-class passive noise isolation (PNI) to enable a truly immersive experience when listening to music in clamorous environments. Unlike generic Active Noise Cancellation that concentrates on blocking out low-frequency noise, PNI efficiently minimises unwanted ambient noise in the mid and high range.

The AK UW100MKII is built with Qualcomm’s cVc Generation 8.0 (Clear Voice Capture) to deliver an exceptionally clear and more stable call quality. Clear Voice Capture technology keeps background noise to a minimum in noisy environments, and focuses on the voice to produce consistent, crystal-clear audio.

Hi-Fi sound, for longer
The power system in the AK UW100MKII has been redesigned to increase wireless playback time to 9.5 hours of continuous playback with a total of 29 hours total playback with the accompanying charging case. While also dramatically reducing the size of the charging cradle, the AK UW100MKII achieves an impressive one hour of continuous playtime from only a 10-minute charge.

AK UW100MKII supports Multi-Pairing and Multi-Point functions to let you pair the earbuds with multiple mobile devices at the same time while also easily switching connections to another mobile device. This also allows the user to listen to songs played on your tablet or PC while actively allowing phone notifications and calls from your smartphone.
For hassle-free connectivity, the AKUW100MKII also features Google’s Fast Pair Service to automatically connect the earbuds to Android devices using Bluetooth Low Energy. By simply opening the cradle near an Android device, the earbuds enter pairing mode and allow the user to connect instantly.
Easy Configuration with the A&K App
The UW100MKII is accompanied by an exclusive App to offer state-of-the-art customisability for the listener. The App offers an adjustable 10-band EQ to alter the sound of the UW100MKII to suit your preferences while also enabling listeners to reconfigure the touch controls of the earbuds and change the ‘Ambient Mode’ levels.

Over the last few years I have tried a range of earbuds: sennheiser, rha, beosound and sony. All of them have their qualities but equally there is some aspect which lets each down. Ear fit, poor ANC, awkward touch sensors… The AK UW100 us quite simply the exception. Astell & Kern clearly have spent a lot time, effort and money to get it right.
First off the tailor fitted DAC exudes a quality of connection and sound far exceeding its rivals. It may not miraculously improve the quality of your old files but you can truly appreciate Hi-res files and quality mp3.
The fit is excellent and the inclusion of an XL tip makes such a difference. Whatever they have used to finish the tip stops them from slipping as happens with some silicone tips.
The touch sensor is cleverly shaped to a point like a tiny button making it easier to control and not hit and miss as with other buds.
I use my earphones principally when out walking and the PNI is as efficient if not more so than other ANC options. Important when in walking in high winds.
Simply put the AK UW100 offers the complete package. Quality of sound, flawless connection, comfortable fit and easy to use.
A word about Audiologica. Richard offers a personal service and dispatch is immediate. Richard contacted me at 3 pm on a Friday afternoon to let me know the buds had arrived and by 11 am the next morning I was enjoying my new acquisition. This is my second purchase and budget permitting it won’t be my last.

These are superb sounding, quality earphones and you can barely tell they are TWS and not wired. The depth, detail and separation are wonderful. One thing to consider which should be sorted by a future firmware update is that the voice call audio quality can be quite tinny considering how good even the voices from podcasts sound on them. Also the ambient mode sounds slightly odd but I guess it is only meant to be used sparingly for when someone is speaking to you and it’s not something I’m familiar with so it might just be the way it is for this feature.
The multipoint works flawlessly. I cannot understand why it’s not a more demanded feature for TWS earphones but big thumbs up to A&K for incorporating it on these. The connection quality between my laptop and my phone
is excellent with drop outs tending to be only because I am testing the Bluetooth range too far at times when walking about with these on. These are BT 5.2 as is my phone so I expected it to be good but my laptop is only BT 4.0 and it’s still a great connection in general.
The customer service I received was second to none and they went out of their way to answer queries, concerns and always very promptly. I would highly recommend Audiologica to anyone looking for quality audio equipment. I will certainly always check here first.
